Leave Ahmedabad early (about 200 km, 4 hours). Check in, then take the bus to the statue: the museum and memorial at its base, the lift to the 153 m viewing gallery for the view of the dam and the Satpura and Vindhya hills, and a walk through the Valley of Flowers. Stay for the laser and light show on the statue after dark.
