A first Dubai trip with every classic in it and time to shop. Evenings are for the dhow cruise, the Dubai Fountain and the desert camp; one full day goes to Abu Dhabi, an hour and a half away, for the BAPS Hindu Mandir and the white marble Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Indian vegetarian dinners are easy to arrange.

Day 1
Arrive at Dubai International and transfer to the hotel. In the evening board a traditional dhow for a two-hour dinner cruise on Dubai Creek or Dubai Marina.

Day 2
Morning city tour: Jumeirah Mosque and Burj Al Arab photo stops, Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis, Dubai Frame, then an abra across the creek to the gold and spice souks. Evening at Dubai Mall: 'At the Top' of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain show.

Day 3
Morning free for shopping or Miracle Garden (open roughly November to April). At about 15:00 a 4x4 picks you up for the desert: dune drive, sunset, camel ride, sandboarding, henna, and a BBQ dinner with live Tanoura and dance shows.

Day 4
Drive to Abu Dhabi (1.5 hours). Darshan at the BAPS Hindu Mandir, the hand-carved stone temple at Abu Mureikhah, then the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Photo stops at Qasr Al Watan and Ferrari World on Yas Island before returning to Dubai.

Meals
Daily breakfast at the hotel, dinner on the dhow cruise (Day 1) and at the desert camp (Day 3). Vegetarian and Jain meals on request.
Transportation
Shared coach transfers and tours (private car on request). Abu Dhabi is about 140 km (1.5 hours) from Dubai.
Indian passport holders need a UAE visa arranged before travel; it is issued on arrival only to those holding a valid US visa or green card, or a UK or EU residence permit - ask us. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Visiting the BAPS Hindu Mandir needs free online registration and modest dress; the mandir is closed on Mondays. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque requires long, loose clothing covering arms and legs, and a headscarf for women; it is closed to tourists on Friday mornings. December-January (Dubai Shopping Festival, Christmas, New Year) has the highest hotel rates. Carry no more than the permitted cash and declare amounts above the UAE limit.

Very. Bur Dubai and Karama have many Indian, Gujarati and Jain restaurants, and the hotel can arrange Jain meals.
Yes - it is on Day 4. Registration on the mandir's website is free but required, and it is closed on Mondays.
Flights from Ahmedabad are quoted separately at the time of booking, because fares change daily.
